London, ON –London, ON – With the opening of its new residence just around the corner, Brescia University College is offering students the chance to win a free residence room for the 2013-2014 academic year. To be eligible, students are participating in the Key to Free contest. The grand prize holds the value of $7,700 and will be drawn on June 3rd.
To enter the contest, new Brescia students will receive a swipe card key in their offer of admission package. If a student has one of three keys that opens the showcase suite, she will win the free room or a $,2000 reduction from the residence meal plan.
A second-chance draw will take place on July 15, with another winner being awarded a $500 reduction on their residence meal plan. In addition to the chance to win a free residence room, returning students can also win additional reduced meal plan costs based on referrals that result in new residents, with a potential discount of $3,500 dollars.
With many offers of admission already sent out, excitement surrounding the contest is rapidly building. Brescia’s Registrar, Marianne Simm says of the contest, “Definitely this adds to the excitement of receiving an offer of admission to Brescia. Even in the midst of a recent snow storm we had a family visit from Sault Ste. Marie to try their key.”
Winners of the contest not only receive a free room or meals, but also an opportunity to belong to a close-knit community. When asked about the Key to Free contest, Residence Manager Jacqueline DeLeebeeck said, “Living on campus sets a student up for success academically, socially, and emotionally. Students who live in residence are more likely to engage with the community and take advantage of the supports and resources available to them.”
