London, ON – The annual Brescia University College’s Breakfast for Bursaries welcomes award-winning journalist Wendy Mesley on Thursday, October 23 at 7:00 am at the London Convention Centre. Mesley’s message on political, social and journalistic integrity will be delivered to more than 500 attendees.

“Brescia offers a unique educational experience for women,” says Mitra Khademi, Chair of the Breakfast for Bursaries committee. “This event raises money to support women who are undertaking a university education at Brescia.”

As Canada’s only women’s university, Brescia prides itself on offering students excellent leadership and educational opportunities in an encouraging learning environment.

“University can be very challenging both financially and academically for many students,” says Dr. Colleen Hanycz, Principal of Brescia University College. “Brescia believes in financially supporting our students as much as possible.”

Breakfast for Bursaries raises funds for the Eleanore Donnelly Bursary to assist mature students who want a university education. In the past seven years, more than $200,000 has been directed to this fund.
