Brescia Hosts Conference for Women

London, ON — Brescia University College’s Institute for Women in Leadership (IWIL) invites women to attend an affordable professional development conference on June 19 from 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. entitled ‘When opportunity knocks, are you ready?’

The conference has been designed for women in two streams of their career: The presentations in Stream A will address young women interested in gaining skills in marketing themselves, negotiating and networking. Stream B has been developed for mid-career women looking to expand their leadership abilities.

Stream A:

Creating the Vision Janet Frood (President, Horizon Leadership Coaching & Consulting)

Aligning people Behind the Vision

Theresa Topic (Principal, Brescia University College)

The keynote lunch address will be delivered by Emanuela Heyninck, Ontario’s Commissioner for Pay Equity, on the use of leadership in recognizing obstacles.

The conference fee is $49 for adults and $29 for students. IWIL is committed to accessibility and bursaries are available.
