London, ON – Brescia University College is pleased to announce the appointment of two new prominent positions at the College.
Dr. Anne Barnfield has accepted the position of Associate Academic Dean (Student Affairs). The primary focus of this position is students’ academic needs and the enrichment of academic services offered at the College. Dr. Barnfield completed her term as Chair of the Department of Social Sciences on June 30, 2007, and has begun her responsibility as Associate Academic Dean.
Dr. Alicia Garcia, Chair of the Department of Food and Nutritional Sciences has been appointed to the position of Director of Graduate Studies in Foods and Nutrition at Brescia. This is the first Graduate program offered at the College, and enrolment for the program is full. Brescia is one of 15 universities in Canada that offers the program of Food and Nutrition, and offers one of three programs in Ontario leading to dietetic internships.
